Established over 100 years ago in London, England, the Linguaphone Group is the world's leading language training provider of self-study language training solutions. With courses in 15 languages, Linguaphone courses are distributed in over 60 countries worldwide.
Jacques Roston, the founder of Linguaphone, was one of the first pioneers to recognise the potential for language teaching incorporating both Edison's invention of sound recording (1877) and Alexander Graham Bell's development of wax cylinders (1888). Roston then established the Linguaphone Institute and invented the concept of self-study language courses.
Linguaphone is committed to servicing the language needs of Malaysians. Our self-study courses have been widely promoted in Malaysia for several decades. To ensure customer satisfaction and excellent after sales services, Linguaphone Malaysia was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of UK-headquartered LG&DE Ltd (formerly known as Linguaphone Group Limited) in 1992. Our head office is located in Kuala Lumpur, with sales offices in various parts of Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Pulau Pinang.
In March 2008, Linguaphone Distributors Sdn Bhd. became a wholly locally owned enterprise with a 30% Bumiputra shareholding. Currently we have over 60 full time staff and over 100 sales agents
